Mandaue is located in Cebu island, in the midway between Manila (in Luzon) and Davao in Mindanao island. It is right at the heart of the province of Cebu and is considered as highly-urbanized city since 1991. In 2015, the UN counted already more than 362,600 inhabitants and the second-biggest city in the region. It is the industrial hub in the region, but the inequalities are still rising.
Eau et Vie works in Tipolo, Malibu, Paknaan, Mantuyong Ceniza and Mantuyong Guizo started the work with communities in 2009.
