BWW was invited to the Singapore International Water Week, an exciting event on water, allowing Philippe de Roux and Agathe, our partnership manager in the Philippines, to present our model to various stakeholders.
The networking events enabled us to explore promising collaboration opportunities with companies that even visited our intervention area in Salcedo, Philippines, right after SIWW! We also engaged with impact investors for our long-term fundraising strategy.
We also participated in a poster competition, where we presented a poster titled “Promoting Sustainable Inclusion: Systematic Tap Water and Complementary Services in Urban Slums of the Philippines and Bangladesh.” This session was an excellent opportunity to engage with attendees and discuss our model, its positive results, and its impact on urban slums.
Philippe was also invited to the Utilities CEO Roundtable, a closed-door event bringing together nearly 100 global water utilities and agencies. This recognition highlights our status as a WASH (Water-Sanitation) service expert. Philippe emphasized the immense challenge of slum growth and inclusion in the coming decades, stressing the need for safe access to water and essential services. He advocated for a systematic approach requiring close collaboration between complementary actors, aligning with BWW’s approach, supported by 15 years of experience and a successful proof of concept in the Philippines and Bangladesh. His message was clear: it’s time to scale up.
