On the sidelines of COP 28, the Zayed Sustainability Prize ceremony took place on Friday, December 1, bringing together several heads of state, ministers, and other high dignitaries.
Eau et Vie was rewarded for its innovative model for access to running water in slums in the Water category, by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The Zayed Sustainability Prize honors the legacy of the founding father of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
The prize promotes sustainable development and humanitarian action by rewarding organizations and schools that offer sustainable, impactful, and innovative solutions in 11 categories, including water, health, food, energy, and climate action.
Thanks to this prize, Eau et Vie will be able to amplify its impact in the Philippines, Bangladesh, and in the future, in other slums around the world, closely addressing the needs of communities.
